“The Monitor is working fine with exception of no sound??? The audio seems to have connected to the Monitor which has no speaker?? If I disconnect the Monitor then the sound on my HP Pavilion lap top works fine?”

Go to your sound settings on your computer and you can choose the output device b
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.While the one answer says there is a speaker on the monitor, I do not have any information which indicates it has that. If you left click once on the volume icon next to the clock on your start bar you will see the name of your audio output device. Click it and select your laptops speakers, this way it will not try to send the sound through the HDMI port.
