“I've recently purchased this desktop and am really enjoying it! My question is does everyone else hear the fan (more of a rattle than a whirring sound)? I've gone from a small laptop to this, so I'm not sure if it's normal. Thanks!”

No noise on my computer. Sounds like you have a loose fan or fan blade. I'd take it back and have it checked out.

I don't have much noise in my home, especially my home office. So If I don't turn the TV on or play music, that sound is constant and annoying and sounds like it will break down at any moment! This can't be normal.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, sometimes you hear the fan keeping everything cool. Very slight and it's for a good purpose. Cooling down your computer is something that needs to be done. My old computer was loud, this one is quieter.

In fact, I have contacted the Geek Squad regarding this issue and he said the same answer. It is different from a laptop. It's a good idea not to have the desktop monitor too close to the wall and allow back space for the computer to "breathe".
