IPS is one of the main technologies used for LED panels along with TN. TN panels are the LED panels you've most likely run into which have very limited viewing angles. IPS does not have this problem and also has better colors than TN panels. They do suffer from backlight bleeding and slightly higher latencies but are still very popular for gaming because of the benefits mentioned previously.

The AMD FreeSync is a technology that can prevent screen tearing if your frames per second go over 60 as this is a 60hz monitor. I'm using this monitor with a Dell laptop that has an nVidia graphics card and intel cpu. They're perfectly compatible, you just can't use the FreeSync unless you have an AMD graphics card.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It can work with any computer. Freesync is a feature that if you use it with an AMD GPU with Freesync that your computers frames will perfectly sync together so no screen tearing and such. IPS basically means it has excellent viewing angles.
