Excellent for work and entertainment
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off this is not a gaming monitor although casual gameplay is acceptable but more serious gamers look elsewhere. Cons: no display port, uses old VGA input, no speakers or optical out. Pros: large retail space for cost, 2 HDMI inputs. I got this for $100 so can't complain you don't get all the bells and whistles for under $500. I mainly needed more space for working from home so this was more than fine. The colors out the box looked very spot on, no complaining there, it gets pretty bright for the price point. Movies look good as well, the detail far exceeded my expectations, being a 1080p monitor you do loose crispness but not terrible as I've seen on others. I did have a over blown issue with macs on this unit but that's the mac (high sierra) not being able to resize automatically for this resolution. On PC windows 10 this was not a issue at all. I would highly recommend this unit for someone that needs a larger screen to get some work done and minor entertainment.

Overall great aka your next monitor pick!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I saw this monitor on sale for Memorial Day, waited until the next morning and jumped up $100! Luckily I waited until July 4th and found it a bit cheaper than the Memorial Day sale! Goodthings come to those who wait ;) Great great deal ~ $150 with tax! The Monitor is great, wide screen with awesome connectivity via the HDMI cable (included), and really good display visual/ visibility settings including a low blue light setting, reading setting, and others like gaming/ movie. I have another HP monitor I bought for the pandemic but has a lag, bulkier stand, didn't come with the HDMI cable, and it doesn't have the nice flat sleek look this one does. Overall, it's a beautiful and more importantly efficient screen well worth the price. Highly recommend, if you're a deal seeker Best Buy has some awesome sales to stock up on real value for great prices! :)

Great for Programming (working from home)
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a senior software engineer working remotely from home and I was using a 17" laptop at first w/ one external 24" monitor to extend the laptop desktop so I could have two windows open and in sight at the same time (dual monitors). I bought 3 of the HP 27f monitors from BestBuy and they are AWESOME for work as a programmer; coding in Microsoft Visual Studio and SQL Server Mgmt Studio. Perfect for checking my tickets in JIRA, reading and responding to emails, and the best thing is I can clone the laptop desktop to one of them and extend to the other two. This is great. I also figured out how to close the laptop lid and keep the laptop from shutting off so basically the laptop is acting as a PC tower in disguise. I have surfed the web on these and watched videos on YouTube and the picture is great. I have not attempted any gaming on them so not sure how they respond/perform in those scenarios. Lastly, there are no mounts on the back to mount these on stands or the wall. You would have to create a custom solution to achieve mounting. NOTE: I also purchased a docking station so I could run three monitors at once from my laptop.

Fantastic for WFH
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think this monitor is fantastic! I have a 21” iMac and my work laptop is a Dell. I landed on this monitor because with a mini/HDMI adaptor and 2 HDMI inputs I am able to use this monitor with both computers easily. Color is great, brightness is amazing, it’s big!! It feels like a TV on the desk haha. I love it!

Hidden Gem!
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this as soon as I was told I'll be working from home. I'm glad I got this monitor! Love the size, the simple design and image quality. I'm a graphic designer and this gets the job done. Highly recommend . Note: The monitor doesn't come with speakers but thats not an issue. I'm usually using headphones or just use the laptop speakers.

Disappointed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, this was not a bestbuy opened box item. As far as i could see, there was no apparent signs that the box had been opened and reclosed or even tampered in the slightest. There was only one layer of tape sealing the box. With any display purchase, I do not unwrap or remove any protective layers the factory installs until I am finished assembling and handling. In this case, the assembly of the two piece base and attachment to the display was very simple. I placed the display at it's new home, removed the protective foam cover and was greeted by what you can see in the picture. Dust, debris, scuffs, and fingerprints? Really? Fingerprints from a factory sealed unit? Being that my nearest store is 45 minutes away, I contacted HP. Their only concern was that the display was not physically damaged and I should clean (a brand new display) to make sure. The display is not damaged. I upgraded from a 10yr old 22" Samsung with 1680x1050 resolution. The difference is night and day. My face is about 20 inches away from the display. I use this primarily for ps4 and ps3 racing games. I feel the picture is great. While I'm very disappointed in this experience, I am very happy with the monitor.

Great Quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wasn’t sure if this would be good at first considering I’ve never bought a monitor before. I’m glad that I got this though! Great viewing angles and the bezel is barely even noticeable. It does have an ultra thin screen, so be careful when handling. The stand is extremely sturdy and made of metal so no issues there. Picture quality is perfect in my opinion, no matter what you’re using it for. Games and videos look amazing. Two things to take a note of though.. If you don’t have an AMD graphics card you will NOT be able to utilize the freesync feature. This also does not come with speakers. Neither of these are a huge problem unless you REALLY need them. Overall.. this is a high quality monitor for the price. 15/10 would buy again boiiii

Q: QuestionIs there any way to use a speaker with this monitor?
Asked by Chris.
- A:Answer You can use a speaker with this monitor but you can't directly connect a speaker to this monitor. This is a monitor not a computer with a CPU. The speaker (wired/wireless) needs to be connected to your laptop/PC through a 3.5 mm jack or via bluetooth and the monitor can be connected to the computer via HDMI. You can then go to 'Sound' setting in the control panel and select your speaker as the default. Hope this helps!
