You may not get good results when you have cartridges refilled. And that may be why it is sending you an error message about the cartridge. Also, if you are trying to print in color, you need working cartridges that all have some ink in them. The only way to print if one of the color cartridges is out is if you change your print selection to "print in gray scale" and "use black ink only". I never refill cartridges because of the printer not recognizing them. Hope that helped.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have tried off brand printer cartridges for my HP (5220 and others) and was hit or miss for working properly - I always buy the HP brand now and always works - not sure why but I tend to think that HP makes their printers so that they work best with their own cartridges, they cost more but always work properly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The printer needs all color cartridges to be able to print. When you refill cartridges, they damage the printer and void the warranty. That is why it is important to use genuine HP cartridges and not refills. I recommend purchasing new, original HP cartridges to see if the printer will print. If it doesn't, the printer may be permanently damaged. I hope this helps.
