Unfortunately, no HP printer supports two black ink cartridges. All HP Printers have specific slots for the different cartridges. The HP Printer you use may support printing in black only, Printing when one cartridge is depleted or single cartridge mode. I recommend contacting HP Total care at 1-800-474-6836 to inquire if the HP Printer you use supports one of the above modes.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Is the black cartridge number d8j63bn still available?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, the color cartridge is slightly different in shape, and it wouldn't recognize it as black vs color. So you would just get black in place of color ink, thus using a lot more black. Just change the setting in your printer to only print black and white.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You don't need to put in two black cartridges, just put in one. As well, you don't have to use colored ink if you don't want to. However, I would keep one cartridge in a drawer ready for replacement when your one cartridge runs out of ink. It's still cheaper most of the time to buy a combo pack and hold onto the spare ink until you need it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Turn the color option off on your printer. I would not put a black ink in the color slot.
