- Answer Unfortunately, no HP printer supports two black ink cartridges. All HP Printers have specific slots for the different cartridges. The HP Printer you use may support printing in black only, Printing when one cartridge is depleted or single cartridge mode. I recommend contacting HP Total care at 1-800-474-6836 to inquire if the HP Printer you use supports one of the above modes.

QuestionIs the 61XL cartridge the same size container as the 61 cartridge? I know the XL has more ink, and therefore prints more copies, but will it fit in the same space as a regular 61 cartridge in my HP printer?
