“Will the 950XL work in HP 8600 in place of a 950”

• Yes, the XL basically means more ink in the cartridge, you save money buying this XL style and you don't have to change the cartridge as often. I generally get more than twice as many copies per ink cartridge using the XL version over the standard (non XL) cartridge.
