Active stylus pens up until recently were somewhat fragmented. Most modern pen enabled laptops use the Microsoft Pen Protocol which set out to create a universal standard. There were also the Wacom and Synaptics pen systems as well. Your model uses Synaptics so the HP Active Pen (Synaptics) J4R51AA SPS: 773175-001 (the pen you asked this question on) or the HP Pro Tablet Active Pen (Synaptics) K8P73AA SPS: 798051-001 would work.
