Hello, Alan! Thank you for your question. Your HP Envy laptop (17m-ch0013dx) offers a backlit keyboard. The F5 key should have a symbol of a keyboard. It can be pressed repeatedly to cycle through the various settings. If this does not solve your problem, please reach out to our support team.
