It does that with Win 10, and the specs say it's compatible with Mac OS 10. CAUTION: It's possible the OX X El Capitan is not compatible. Ask HP. Ink costs are: HP 62 for $13 (on Amazon) compared to $35 for the XL. Specs say the HP 62 prints 200 copies, while the XL prints 600. So the cost per copy is the same. With Amazon prime, shipping is free. Walmart's prices are similar to Amazon.

I have scanned using Win 10 to desktop. Also, you can scan to email (again on the display screen), which sends scan as an attachment to your email address (or anyone else).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You should be able to scan photos and send to your laptop so long as you have a Wi-Fi connection. I haven't had to purchase replacement cartridges yet, but the cartridges at Best Buy are: Black - $17, Color - $22.
