The HP ENVY 6055 All-In-One Printer is compatible with the following Mac Operating systems: MacOS Sierra v10.12 (previously OS X), macOS High Sierra v10.13, macOS Mojave v10.14, and macOS Catalina v10.15. As long as your MacBook Pro uses one of those it will be compatible. The printer does come with ink cartridges in the box.
