“The Mouse that came with this computer (HP710) is not working. System is less than 6 months old. Can I obtain replacement or does the mouse have batteries that can be replaced. The mouse doesn't appear to have an accessible battery compartment. Thanks”

Yes, there is a battery. slide the top back to access it. You must have had to insert a battery when you installed it.

There should also be a switch on the bottom that lets you turn the mouse off and on. Make sure that switch is set to "on" and that the mouse has fresh batteries in it.
