No, this Envy Desktop does not have an optical (DVD) drive.

you are ABLE to do a special custom-cut to the front plastic case if you are good at using a Dremel, the mainframe has the square for the laptop type 9.5mm drive and the motherboard has the one-more thing Sata plug and power tap to add the DVD drive, just the only thing you have 2 do is custom-cut the front plate out to allow the drive to stick out, as I have done these special safe modifications for decades on these.
