“You have to have speakers to hear the sound. Do any HP computers have sound without adding speakers. We had one several years ago.”

• Hello. Thanks for your question. The HP desktops don't come with speakers. You would need to purchase speakers or headphones.

• "Most desktop computers do not come with built-in speakers. You must connect headphones or speakers to the ports on the front or rear of the computer to hear audio." - HP However, desktops intended may include built-in speakers.
