I would say yes. I don't work with AutoCAD but I am familiar enough with it to know that the program is memory intense. I use it for work. I go in and out of open programs, and I go online, and I design and print all at the same time. Also use video presentations and this computer is fantastic for me. I don't work much with 3D so I'm not sure how it will work in that area, but I believe the monitor has a lot to do with that, too. I would talk with the crew at Best Buy because they are knowledgeable about these things. I asked them lots of questions about how I was planning on using this computer and they were 100% correct.
