- Answer Hello, Leon, thank you for your question. This model does not come with an envelope drawer if that's what you mean by setting. However, this model can handle printing on envelopes in the standard tray with the arms adjusted up to 20 to 24 lb paper, as well as only up to ten in the tray at a time.

You will need to use the HP Smart App which is free and accessible from a smartphone, tablet or computer to enable the scanning feature. This printer cannot scan from the printer itself.

- Answer My printer is “on” but in “sleep” mode constantly, until I awaken it with a print request. There’s a switch on the back—you can turn it off there. Or you can unplug it. But if you do either, it will take awhile to boot up when you need it.
