So the HP answer is partially correct. You can do a dual or triple monitor setup with this laptop. Just be careful what kind of docking station you buy. The AMD version of this laptop does not support Thunderbolt, the Intel version does. Either laptop will support DisplayLink or Alt Mode docks. Only the Intel supports Thunderbolt docks.

With that and the USB Type-A ports, you'll have several options for connecting external monitors. Several docks will work with this laptop, including the HP Thunderbolt 120W G2, the 120W with HDMI adapter, and the USB-C Dock G5.
