To be clear, I do not have a numeric keyboard with all the numbers in a square, just the numbers going across the letters at the top. I don't think what you are proposing will work ? The specific mode I am referring to is a HP Envy 15m-eu0023dx

Hello, yes, you can use the shortcut key option. The 0 key on the number keypad will function as an Insert Key when the Number Key lock is off. Thank you for being an HP customer!
