I have not personally worked on this laptop. From the HP support website, I downloaded the Maintenance and Service guide(for Authorized Service Providers) On page 16 you can see the exploded picture showing items 14 are 2 memory modules. You can see the details of part #'s of the 2 memory modules on page 20 of the guide. Page 35 and 36 detail removing and replacing memory modules. You can see the 2 modules in the diagram on page 35 showing the removal of the memory module shield. An authorized service provider can upgrade your memory to 16GB or up to 32GB.
