I think that you can wait until you set up the printer. I didn't see an expiration on it.

I bought mine on 11/28/19 & I just set up my computer and printer and just did the ink set up on 12/12/19 so doing it in 7 days is definitely not true.

The 7 days starts when you turn on the printer. If you don't open the box, you may keep as long as you want. You may confirm with HP 1‑855‑785‑2777.
