They provide a postage paid envelope so that you can send the empty cartridges back. Recycling is part of their service.

When they send you the replacement ink they also give you a return label to send the other one back. Simply package back into box that it is mailed in and return! Easy process!

They include a prepaid return mailer for recycling. I prefer to recycle my cartridges at Best But, Staples, etc. where I can get a credit to use on purchases, or I sometimes donate them to charities collecting used cartridges.

They recycle them for you as part of the service. They send you a little bag with a label they pay for and you return them whenever you want.

HP includes a prepaid return envelope in the package with the instant ink cartridges. Simply put the empty INSTANT INK cartridges into the envelope and drop in the mail. HP pays for shipping both directions and you are being a good earth citizen by recycling!

I never heard of any option to return cartrtidges for recycling. Would like to see it happen if it is possible.
