“Does the priority paper tray just take random sized paper and print on it with out wanting an exact match from the computer? (Like printing on checks for an office. When I only have one check compared to a sheet of 3?)”

Sorry, but I've never tried to print a single check. I know you can print an envelope, but that's about it. I would check on the HP website.
