• Yes, the top lifts up or rotates up to 90 degrees away from the scanner glass which enables odd sized documents, thick papers, receipts, book pages, etc. up to 8.5 x 11 in size to be placed down and scanned.

• Good question. Yes, this printer has a glass flatbed scanner and an auto document feeder as well for scanning and making copies. I hope this helps.
