This printer has been one of the easiest to get up and running. Set up and network connection went just as outlined in the instructions. Connected up first time. Print quality is excellent. Prints fast and reliable. The only cons that I have noticed is the paper tray capacity, no tray add on capabilities and no single sheet feed tray or support arms. These are little points though with easy work around options. The benefits such as: price, size, weight and ease of use more than make up for these couple of shortcomings.

It took a lot going to get this and that done . It seem everyone want you to send a fax or receive a fax. It stop going out to get copies , etc. Color copies come out looking like the original , as do the black and white copies. Great clarity.

I was a little skeptic about switching to a laser printer but after the easy install and Wi-Fi connect I printed several pages using various textures of paper and I was very happy with the results.

Printing is of excellent quality. Wireless printing works great between my desk computer and the printer in the same room but is less consistent from my iPad in another room.

When documents are scanned to USB, it scans them into one file, very user-friendly.

Very happy with my printer! Easy to scan, easy to print (especially like wireless feature and printing both sides of paper), great print quality even on draft mode. And the printing speed is fantastic!

I have always had inkjet printers simply because laser jets have been too expensive and inkjets are better for photos, but inkjet printers need to be used constantly or the heads/jets get plugged up and you end up spending more money on ink than the printer cost. This HP(m277dw) set up flawlessly! From unboxing, to downloading the software on my MacBook, to using, took 15 minutes and went without any issues. The moment I hit the print button, it wakes up and prints within seconds and is quieter than my inkjets. The printer is rather heavy, but I'll use the old adage that heavy means quality...right?! The footprint is about the same if not a tad smaller that my inkjet was. The color is actually white, not gray like the description says. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because I haven't had the chance to test the scanning or mobile device printing yet. If that works well, then I would give it 5 stars.

I can not express how happy I am with this device and its ease of use. It setup via my network in just a few minutes. I was in the process of buying a house and needed to print/fax/scan a lot of documents. I have already put this thing through nearly 500 pages in only a months time. Has not failed or given a hiccup. UNBELIEVABLE!!!

HI bought this printer to replace my inkjet printer because I was going through ink so fast. This is an excellent low priced laser printer with easy to use functions. All in one features make it an excellent all around printer. I can also print from my cell phone. I really recommend this to everyone looking to upgrade to a laser printer not only for price but features. I print a lot when I am in school and like to print some pages in color so this was a good all around printer that can print over 1000 pages on a single tone. The only downside is the cost of the toner so I have to watch out for sales. But I think this toner will last me for more than a year with the amount of printing I do. Clarity is sharp and color comes out really nice and it also says you can print photos but I already have a photo printer so no need for that.

This printer is fast to print, produces great print and scan quality, and is easy to setup. Includes advanced home office/small business scan and print features, to include scanning to a NAS or network share, to email, or to a usb drive. Also easily recognized by mobile devices to include iPhone and iPad to print from. I highly recommend this color laser for small business/home office use. Smaller in size than the competition.

I've been a lifelong inkjet printer user before I bought this multifunction laser printer. After having used this printer I will never go back to an inkjet. This printer is fast compared to an inkjet and the text and graphics are crisp (no jagged lines). It's also nice that should you accidentally handle your prints with wet hands, the ink does not smear. I like that the printer doesn't take up too much space and it doesn't look like un ugly copy machine you find at most businesses. The wireless function works great and was fairly easy to setup. The only negative for some people might be the paper capacity. I believe it holds about 200 or so sheets, but I might be wrong. However, that doesn't bother me because I'm not printing 50 sheets at a time and I don't mind refilling the paper tray. Overall I really am happy with my purchase and I think it's a great printer.

Having purchased many, many printers this is the best I have bought for my home office. Quiet, fast, easy to install. Prints excellent color or black and white. I have never loved any printer, but getting away from an inkjet is great. No more dried cartridges. Five Stars!

This was the first laser printer I have purchased for home use. This device was easy to setup out of the box. Many features can be configured through the web interface and through the physical console. Compatible with Google cloud print which was not listed on the box. I bought this to replace a inkjet due to low quantity of printing I do. Not dealing with drying ink and clogged print heads due to lack of usage is what I wanted to go for. Print speed for this device is much faster then the previous inkjet I owned and not having to worry about smearing the ink has been a high point for this printer. Glad I made this choice and looking forward to getting every page out of the cartridges.

With some trepidation, we stepped up to a color printer. Having been burned so many times in the past with inkjet, we shied away from those and looked towards laser printers. With prices decreasing, it seemed a good time. And so far we have been right. We love this printer. After a solid recommendation from 2 Best Buy employees, we bought it. Super easy to set up and everything has worked right from the start including wifi connecting and printing; AirPlay; scanning. The printer is very fast; the colors are awesome. Very highly recommend!

    Color laser Prints both sides

Had trouble finding color laserjet that prints on both sides of the page without handling. This one does. There's an annoying LED that flashes on the front VERY BRIGHTLY that indicates it is in sleep mode and that wakes me from another room! I covered that with a felt stickem pad and I can still see it enough through that and use the power on/off button. Printer prints great expect for occasional troubles with Mac files getting confused or not finding printer. Then reboot Mac (which never ever normally do) and print comes out. So not sure what's up there but it's rare. Installed OK on both Mac and PC. I used a DVD on PC which was easier than Mac install oddly enough. This replaced three previous printers and scanners so I am very happy, especially since now there are NO CABLES! If you do not care about the laser, an equivalent deskjet would probably be just as nice. I have yet to find the toner in stock anywhere in town as these are new model cartridges.

Purchased to replace an Epson inkjet that kept having issues. This HP meets our needs for both Color and B&W printing. Easy setup and install. Low maintenance, quiet, fast, efficient. Only thing keeping this rating from 5 stars slight network hiccup. If I send a job to the printer while it is in sleep mode, I have to manually “wake up” the printer by pressing any button. I’d prefer that the submission of the print job would wake the printer. Overall, very satisfied with this printer and would purchase again.

I've had a bw laser HP 5p since the 90's, had no issues with it, still a solid printer. But lacked wireless printing, no color, and i no longer had a computer with a parallel port . I know could have got an adapter, but baahhh! Up till now i've had numerous inkjets for color printing, they don't seem to last for me. partially i don't print enough color, so ink dries and then it needs to be cleaned; a bit of a pain compared to a laser. My reason for holding out until now has been price. This new color laserjet had the features i wanted and a price point i could deal with. Was easy to setup... I have it setup via wireless to our house network, so we can print from any number of devices throughout the house. Nice printer.

I have had this printer about a month now and am very happy with it. I use this for the home so it hasn't gotten a lot of use but it has worked great so far. It was very easy to set up on my network and has never lost the wireless connection during scanning and printing functions. The color printing is very nice. Machine is not too big and the price is very good.

The towers come preinstalled. The printer is fast for full color at this price point. I use it with PC Win7/8, Mac OS X, iPad, iPhone, and Android. My biggest complaint is the power save led flashing a bright white. Small piece of tape fixed that. Was pleasantly surprised how nice a full color picture printed on proper laser paper albeit not as nice a photo inkjet on real photo paper....but better than an inkjet on plain paper. Small foot print is nice. It is smaller than a color inkjet multifunction it replaced. So far it has been an excellent purchase.

The good : 1. Quality. Awesome, color rich, glossy and smooth prints. 2. Small and smart for a laser MFP 3. Its HP. buying a non-HP printer is kind of wrong. 4. the touchscreen is intuitive and responsive. 5. The scan to network folder feature is awesome. I can scan documents directly to a folder shared by my raspberry pi and access it using my pc. 6. Amazing quality photo printing. Who could expect a laser printer to be good for printing photos ? but this printer does it. 7. Hard to believe this is a mere 600 dpi printer. The bad : 1. Scanning using ADF limits resolution to 300 DPI. For 600 DPI scanning, you will have to use the flatbed. 2. When using the flatbed, all scans become independent files, there doesnt seem to be a batch mode. So if you are going to scan your passport, each pages become an independent pdf/jpeg file. You will need to stitch them together using some software on the PC. 3. Not too sturdy. the trays look too thin and cheap, plasticy.
