- Answer Did you try this: On Your Windows PC: - Open Control Panel → go to Devices and Printers. - Right-click your HP LaserJet Pro MFP 3301cdw and select Printer Properties. - Go to the Device Settings tab. - Look for Paper Source or Tray Configuration, and set Tray 2 as the default. On the Printer Itself: - From the Home screen, tap the Menu icon. - Go to Trays → select Tray 2. - Tap Modify, then set the correct paper size and type. - Tap Done to save. Using the Embedded Web Server (EWS): - Print a Network Configuration Page to find your printer’s IP address. - Enter that IP in your browser to open the printer’s settings. - Navigate to Paper Handling or Tray Settings, and set Tray 2 as default. Bonus Tip: If you often print the same type of document, create a print preset with Tray 2 selected. That way, your computer remembers your preference every time.

The standard yield toners are rated for about 1,200 pages a piece while the high-yield toners are rated for 3,200 pages for the black and 2,500 pages per color. This model uses the 218A cartridges for the standard yield toners and 218X for the high-yield toners.

- Answer Hello. Thanks for your question. The automatic document feeder (ADF) on the top of the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301sdw printer cannot scan both sides of documents. We recommend looking at the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301fdw printer which does have the capability to do automatic duplex scanning through the ADF (Auto Document Feeder) on top.
