Push paper holder back in. Open up both front panels. Ink cartridges will center. Push down on top of cartridge you want to replace to disengage and pop out. Remove plastic tape from new cartridge. Then push in and snap new one in place. Close both panels and follow onscreen instructions to align new cartridge.

The left side of the face plate (just around the side to the left of the power button, has a raised edge for grip, pull that forward and down to get to your printer cartridges, it's easy! Also, give it a few seconds to slide and align the cartridge plate, it stops automatically. I find that HP products are VERY reliable as printers go. Also the cost of the replacement cartridges is the most economical on the market. This unit uses the "63" printer ink cartridge for color and black.
