I didn't do a credit card but I did need a copy of the insurance card and state ID. I scanned it instead and the quality was better than I expected. I basically scanned it straight to my computer and just printed it. the copier don't copy stiff items like a credit card I can assure you.

Place the side of the credit card you want to copy in the center of the glass top.
Hit the blue light on the touchscreen.
Select copy.
Select start color or start black
My machine spit out one blank sheet of paper and then a message came up that paper size does not match selected. I hit ok and then it started to scan and fed an 8.5 x 11 sheet through and it did finally copy it. I did not fool around with looking into paper sizes and selecting whatever. I just refed the blank sheets that spit out back into the paper tray so I wouldn't waste the paper.
