Does it take lots of ink for printing I had an Epsom that would not let me print in black - even if I asked to print in only black it would default to color all the time null

I haven't yet had any problem with ink usage. I've had the printer for 2-3 months now and am still using the sample ink cartridges that came with the printer. Like other people these days, I don't print a lot but I expected to run out of the ink in the sample cartridges by now and haven't.

Ink lasts a reasonable amount of time. You can select Black only and three print "qualities", Draft, Normal or Best. I use Draft + black to save on the color ink and buy the extended type cartridges (HP61XL Color and HP61XL Black) on eBay (sorry BB).
