“HP printer won't print in color despite full ink cartridge. When I took out black ink cartridge it didn't switch to color.”

• Then you need to return it because all of my HP printers have never did that

• It sounds like you might have clogged printheads on your color cartridge. Try running a cleaning of the cartridge using the touchscreen on your printer. This may get you back to printing in full color. Remember that printing regularly, and either leaving your printer turned on or turning your printer off using the power button are important keys to keeping your cartridges and their printheads functioning optimally.
