• Starter cartridges were supplied, but since this was a new purchase, cannot relate as to duration vs full priced versions.

• The ink cartridges in the OfficeJet 5740 wireless printers that I purchased lasted a very limited time. When I questioned the salesman at Best Buy on the relative short time they printed he told me that ink cartridges in new HP printers are only about one fourth full.
