This printer prints better photos than my last "Photo" printer. Using the HP software also gives the use a choice of settings including printer features which lets you choose normal, best, and maximum DPI. I did not opt to use the insta ink feature, but I did read that every time you print a page, any page, it counts towards your page limit.

I agree with your Instant ink comment. I cancelled after two months. I've also been happy with my color prints. I guess it depends if you are looking for personal printing or professional.
