We don't recommend using third-party ink systems with HP printers, since genuine HP ink is the only formulation designed to work with the printer. Off-brand inks can cause poor print quality, or in worst case scenario, damage the printer. You can save money on ink by using HP Instant Ink, which doesn't charge you for the ink but only the number of pages you print. If you print less than 50 pages a month, the program will only cost you $2.99/mo, or $36/year.
