I don't use the ink replenishment program, I buy generic ink cartridges as I have found they work better. However, when I bought the printer I did receive literature for the "Instant Ink" program and I've included picture of that. It appears that you pay based on your paper usage and HP claims you can save up to 50%.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It might be more cost effective. I hate the ink rip off costs (more expensive than caviar, gold, diamonds) and looked very closely at Brand X ink. The best use remanufactured HP cartridges and are 30% - 40% less expensive. They seem to be pretty high risk with too many reports of printers that no longer work so I did not go that route. If you stick to brand new HP cartridges you might save some money but it would not be a lot. In my printer review I complained a lot about their replacement program but ultimately I signed up - with two free months it is cost effective at least for a year and you can cancel at any time. Unfortunately whenever I go to the HP web site it does not seem to know I have enrolled and keeps trying to get me to enroll over and over.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just bought my printer and did the math, and it seems like Instant Ink is a much better deal. The way I figured it, a set of cartridges prints about 700-800 pages and costs about $80; the 300 page/ month Instant Ink plan is $9.99/ month, so printing 900 pages in 3 months would use a full set of cartridges, but only cost $30 with Instant Ink. Even if my math is off by a little, or you can find a set of cartridges for less than I did, it still seems like a big savings.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. To me, No, my printing varies from day to day. I don't like the charge per sheet overun, that could really mount up for someone like me. besides the price for printer cartridges is way to high as it is.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Instant Ink service is excellent as it allows you to pay a predictable amount based on pages printed while buying cartridges has more varying factors. Instant Ink plans range from $2.99 a month for 50 pages to $9.99 a month for 300 pages. It doesnt matter how much ink is on each page, that is all you will pay. When the printer needs ink it uses the wifi to notify HP who ships more ink to your address at no cost to you.
