“I am still having trouble with 2 sided printing. I have a Macbook OS X El Capitan. Based on the messages I'm getting sounds like I need to select it as a printer preference however I'm not seeing a place to pick that option in the system preferences.”

Printing from Word, you need to select the "page layout" from the drop down menu. Choose "2-sided print" and where the binding edge should be and you're good to go. One orefiew, it's simply a check box above the "print " button. Not sure about Pages. Hope this helps.

I now feel much better that I wrote similar technical issues trying to get this nice looking HP unit to properly do ANYTHING! I consider myself technically proficient to connect just about any device to a high end system, yet as much as I wanted to love this All In One printer unit - I cannot justify even liking it. HP needs to do much better w their drivers, software, and connectivity before they get me to buy another one of these! Signed, A previous & (reluctantly) current HP user :(
