I have used it with my IPAD but Indont have a pro. You have to download the HP app first, and then it will allow you to print wirelessly. On mine, you have to go into settings and change the wifi over in order to print.

I will be getting a new iPad with this year's models coming out soon. I previously had Brother printers which worked well. On the Apple website it will list what printers are compatible with various devices. It is interesting to note that previously the only printer brand Apple sold was Epson. They have now changed to HP. My suggestion is to call HP & Apple to address your concerns. Either Apple feels that HP is now better or they got a better deal from HP. Looking at the specs for this printer, it says specifically that it uses AirPrint so it should work. Of course the wireless connection & reliability does depend a lot on your provider so check with them too. They may also have suggestions.
