“I need to make sure that I will not have to remove letter size copy paper before I can print a 4x6 photo. You say it has only one tray, is the photo paper going in a different part of the tray than the copy paper. Very important to me.”

You would have to remove the letter size paper before you could install the photo paper. You might look at the HP Envy Photo 7155 or 7855. Those models have a dedicated photo tray. You would be able to have both types of paper installed at the same time on those models.
