“During the initial setup I could not put in the ink cartridges since the ink cartridge carriage would not move away from the far right side of the printer. Returned printer, purchased another one, and had same problem. Anyone else have this problem?”

Make sure you have it plugged in and on and it should move over as soon as you open the front panel.
