“in what year did this printer come out and is it due to be upgraded in the near future?”

• I just spoke to HP customer service on Sunday the 11th of March 2018. The gentleman I spoke to asked for the serial # on the machine I wanted to replace. It started out TH52G33........ He told me it was manufactured in Thailand (TH) It was built in 2015 (5) in the second month (2). He seemed to know what he was talking about.
