• This printer comes with the regular cartridges, you'll need to purchase the xl separately.

• It comes with an initial set of cartridges to get you printing immediately upon setup. You then have the option to buy your replacements or subscribe to a service that will automatically order more ink as shown needed by your printer.

• Hi. The ink that comes with the printer lasts quite awhile but I'm not sure if it's XL but the availabilable Instant Ink is! I highly recommend the Instant Ink as it saves you 50% on ink costs and ships you ink automatically before you run out!
