“Several people complained of LOUD FAN NOISE with this laptop. Does not this laptop have a Solid State Drive (SSD)? A SSD is supposed to be very QUIET since it has no moving parts and generates far less heat than a HDD. So why does it need a LOUD FAN?!?”

This laptop does have Solid State Drive. I think the people who have complaints have a laptop that is malfunctioning and it may be something that happens at random to some laptops.

Please try again later.There is fan noise on this computer, but unless you're sitting in a silent chamber it's usually not that much of an issue, plus I've noticed when it's switch to tablet mode it's pretty silent anyway... so if there's a real need for quite time, just switch to the tablet mode (you can do anything in tablet mode that you can in laptop mode anyway) and you'll be ok.
