I have had 5 Hp Spectre x360's (the previous model with 6th Generation I7) shipped to me by HP. 3 of the 5 have had noisy track pads. 4 of the 5 had an issue where the mouse cursor would get stuck in the bottom left hand corner of the display and also showed a halo around the cursor (as if the touch screen was being touched) . It was intermittent and some times you could not regain control of the cursor at all without a reboot. Other times it would steal the cursor away but you could regain control. HP support said it is a known hardware problem and I could send the unit in to be fixed (on the same day I received it-no thank you). Unfortunately there are quality issues with these, which is a shame as the units are really nice if you can get a good one.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My trackpad also makes a slight noise with light tapping. I can see it being annoying for some folks. Might want to try it out in the store first to see if it bothers you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the same problem. My girlfriend had the 256 gb version and I compared the two. Mine almost made a rattling sound. I found it very annoying, seemed loose. I exchanged it, and while I was waiting at Best Buy, I checked the floor model, did the same thing but to a slightly lesser extent. I got my new laptop home, unboxed it, and found no loose mouse pad whatsoever. Must just be a poor design or poor building quality by HP. Just luck of the draw whether you get a loose one or not
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My trackpad is fine, I would exchange your laptop for one that does not have this issue.
