QuestionI don't see any power ports. Does the USB port double as the power port?

- Answer YES ... The USB-C Thunderbolt port transfers both data and power (i.e. charges the laptop). Side Note: This is a nice feature for compatible port replicators to provide desktop connectivity (external monitors, keyboard, etc) with a single cable that also charges! If you are interested, I was able to find a port replicator that uses the USB-C Thunderbolt technology, allowing a single cable to provide BOTH data transmission AND power (charging the laptop) ... very nice! - Kensington SD4600P USB-C Universal Dock with Power Others that may work, but I have NOT tested are: - Plugable USB-C Triple Display Dock - HP Elite Thunderbolt 3 Dock

QuestionThe Battery discharges when the PC is shutdown, about 6% each night or 12% if you leave it shutdown for a day. If you leave it off for a week, the battery will completely discharge. Does anyone know about a fix for this problem.

- Answer You would need a usb c to vga or hdmi adapter. They run from $15 and up depending on where you buy it.

- Answer I have the "Plugable USB-C Triple Display Docking Station with Charging Support/Power Delivery" which works with this laptop to delivery power, however it only provides support for 1x 3840x2160 (4K) at 30Hz, with the others being 1080p 60Hz. They do have a new one coming out late this yr that should do 4k 60Hz, but nothing I needed for work. The dock worked right out of the box with this laptop running windows 10 Pro for me. Installed all the drivers needed automatically.

- Answer HP isn't even answering this question directly. They've said that their Active Stylus, the one that worked with the previous Spectre x360 models, works with the new one and then they link to a compatibility chart that doesn't list the new Spectre models with 7th gen Intel hardware. I was in a chat with an HP sales rep and they said that the notebook does, in fact, work with their Active Stylus. So I don't know. Tech websites are also all over the place as to whether it works or not with some saying no and others not even reporting stylus compatibility. It would be a shame if HP took this away as it made the Spectre x360 a viable Surface Book competitor.

- Answer Yes- as long as you are getting this year's model. Last year's didn't have it. The facial recognition software you are referring to is Microsoft Hello.

QuestionDo any of you have a problem with loose trackpad? My new laptop makes noise even with light tapping.

- Answer I have had 5 Hp Spectre x360's (the previous model with 6th Generation I7) shipped to me by HP. 3 of the 5 have had noisy track pads. 4 of the 5 had an issue where the mouse cursor would get stuck in the bottom left hand corner of the display and also showed a halo around the cursor (as if the touch screen was being touched) . It was intermittent and some times you could not regain control of the cursor at all without a reboot. Other times it would steal the cursor away but you could regain control. HP support said it is a known hardware problem and I could send the unit in to be fixed (on the same day I received it-no thank you). Unfortunately there are quality issues with these, which is a shame as the units are really nice if you can get a good one.

- Answer It's NVMe m2. It's very fast. One of the highest speed SSD's of any of the laptops I researched before buying this one. It's faster than the Dell XPS 13. There's several benchmarks out there on it in the review sites. TLDR: It's the fastest you'll find currently.

QuestionAs another person already asked, I would also like some information as to what kind of ACTIVE stylus pen support this new model has. This is a make-or-break feature for me so I'd rather not order it then have to return the unit for this reason.

- Answer I had the same question when I was researching this laptop. The two models appear to be the exact same in every way. I believe that 13-w063r is HP's generic model # and 13-w023dx is HP's assigned model # specifically for Best Buy. I purchased it thru Best Buy and I'm very happy with it.

- Answer Best in class for convertibles according to many reviews. In practical use it can do all day with normal use. Obviously if you are doing more intense tasks like gaming or photo editing you won't get as good of performance. It's battery is amazing for a machine this size though (and this is coming from a Mac user).

QuestionDoes this laptop comes with an USB-type C to HDMI adapter in the box since it doesn't have a HDMI port and only 2 USB-Type C and a USB-type A. I've seen some review on YouTube that some did on this model and it comes with an adapter. Thanks

- Answer My HP Specter x360 did NOT come with an HDMI adapter. I purchased a combo adapter that has HDMI, 2 x USB-type A and Ethernet. It was on the pricey side, but it gives me more flexibility than just the HDMI adapter.
