Yes but there are limits to how small, depending upon software you are trying to run..some you just need to sit or stand in relatively small space others yu need room to move around.. my space is about 9x9. You can also ask Vive the min. Space required. The sensors have to be mounted or high up in room.

The room setup options allow for standing or seated, as well as larger areas to move about a bit.

Yes, you can play seared or standing. However for room scale there is a minimum. Not sure but I think it is 1.5 X 1.5 Meters This issue is that some games (not many) will only work with a room scale configuration. So a lot depends on the type of games or software you want to use.
