• It sees simple elevation during fitness tracking run, walk, cycle etc. Yes you can turn it off.

• No, currently the Huawei Fit can be configured to track walking, running, swimming, or running on a treadmill but does not track stairs climbed. It also does not have the ability to disable the 'Rotate Wrist' feature.
