Since there are no local retailers to get my hands on a 6x. Are the volume levels for alarms and notifications separate? My wife's Motorola lowers the notifications and the clock alarms together which is a negative for a solid nights sleep and wake up. . null

Yes, They are separate. You get 4 volume levels.

1 for in Call Volume
1 for Ringtone
1 for Alrms
1 for Media

I guess the normal notifications fall under Media.
