*EDIT/UPDATE to my previous response to say that it is possible with mac - you need to run the macOS InstantView program which you will see when the hub mounts (HYPERDISPLY). Once you open this program, you can select either "Mirror" or "Extend Display".

Please try again later.I asked a similar question and I bought this based on the answer being yes to supporting 2 external monitors, BUT, now that I have it, it only seems to support one of my monitors when I have 2 plugged into the hub. I've got an M2 max, and a 2 monitor set-up works fine with an older Satechi hub that I use. I was hoping to upgrade with this one, but looks like I'll be returning it.

I have the dock plugged into the USB-C port and I have my charger plugged in and when you shut the lid to your laptop then the other screen is enabled. Let me know if you have any other questions!
