I have had mine for about a month. I could not connect with Stream with my old machine. It just quit connecting. Now I have Fallout 4 loaded connects and it is running fast. Yes it is a good machine for gaming. Being fast for gaming (one of the best machines I saw during my research in that price range) you will have no problem for doing online college courses.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes! This is a very powerful machine and a good one for the price. Just bought one the other week to use for a big church setup with multiple 4K screens and a high power intensive application. Should work just fine for courses and high end gaming :)

You would need to add Microsoft's current office suite of products most likely and whatever else they may need, but there is more than enough hard drive space on the 1tb drive. If they manage to fill that up there are several connections left to add more hard drive space. The processor is currently one of the best you can buy so go for it!

Using this computer for online college courses should be easy peasy for this system to handle. You can also do regular gaming on this computer, I wouldn't say this computer is one you would purchase if you are trying to play the most cpu and graphics intensive games on max settings. But if you are looking for regular gaming this desktop fits both of your needs for college and regular gaming!
