Is this primarily a remote start?....No security alarm.? null

No alarm. Just remote start. But i believe they may have an upgrade addition with alarm. You may want to call and check.

It is a remote start and you do have to have key in it to get it out of gear. We had one on our last vehicle and we had one put on our vehicle we purchased 2 months ago. Our last car and truck both sit outside so it's great to have this. I do recommend this one. Best Buy also installed for us. They do great work.
