It is a very brief period of time for the machine calculates down to the minute. The accompanying manual for the washing machine has a time breakdown for each procedure. See the chart on page 31. I use this every time I wash so that I will know when to add the fabric softener once the rinse water begins to flow into the machine. It is important to remember that you must ALWAYS press the PAUSE side of the start button before lifting the lid lest the alarm sound. Then after you have added fabric softener, close the lid and press the start button again. For the cleanest wash use HE detergent. I have successfully used Arm and Hammer pods; ALL pods and ALL liquid detergent; and Tide pods. Shockingly the cleanest and freshest smelling laundry was a result of two Arm and Hammer pods (3-in-1 power paks detergent with oxi clean stain fighters with odor blasters - pak has three sections: white washing powder with blue flecks, purple liquid odor eliminator and blue detergent) inserted into the left dispenser section. set for a heavy load of 44 minutes - that is one wash cycle and two rinse cycles with final spin. Now if it is really heavy like a king knit sheet, I follow the Heavy load with the spin cycle of 25 minutes which extracts all of the extra water in the machine also. Makes for quicker drying - I do not use a clothes dryer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They recommend the HE (High Efficiency) detergent because it causes less suds. This leads to cleaner clothing. . .
